Litter robot troubleshooting blinking yellow light.
My litter robot stops upside down during cycling. I have owned my Litter Robot 3 for a little over a year and about a week ago it began to get stuck upside down when cycling. The litter box becomes unusable, and the wastebin is exposed. The yellow light is blinking. In order to fix it, I've been having to turn the unit off and back on.
The yellow light flashing quickly is due to the anti-pinch feature. The Anti-Pinch safety feature is two pin connected to the motherboard that must touch each other continuously. If they are separated, you will have an alarm (yellow blinking light). The Anti-Pinch safety is located in the top back left of the Litter-Robot base. Test the cat sensor. Test the cat sensor by pressing the top of the entryway (not the bonnet) down and away, toward the back of the unit. You should be able to feel a slight spring/bounce movement - this is a good sign that the robot can freely move and that there are no obstructions to prevent the cat sensor from functioning. Checked if the gear is loose or if it can be turned by hand (is tight and cant be turned by hand).
