Jan 21, 2010 · My receiver malfunctioned so I sent it back to DIRECTV and they sent me a new one. The new receiver is great but I can't figure out how to turn on the subtitles. With my old receiver, I would just push the yellow button and the system gave me the option to turn on subtitles. This new one doesn't give me the option at all. Just switched from satellite to streaming. When I watch a streaming show on my tablet there is a subtitles icon in the upper left corner. Easy.
