If you try to launch Supermodel from its shortcut in either Desktop Mode or Game Mode, it will not launch. In order to launch and configure Supermodel, you will need to do so from the command line. Thanks u/DanTheBib. I went on EmuDeck's discord channel, and the feedback I got was that (1) is not possible. For now, the best solution seems to be to install EmuDeck / emulators into your steamdeck, and then "symlinks" it to the external HDD (which contains the roms). Hope this helps.
