Also for people that like to keep the sysMMC clean and uses the emuMMC instead, the sigpatches for AMS 1.5.4 also include the default config file for hekate which adds back the option to boot CFW on sysMMC as its first option, so be careful to not select it on accident.

Yes, you can. I am on firmware 11.0.0 via daybreak for my 3.0.0 and it works fine without a problem. I won't update because I dont have any newer games that interested me. If you want to play the newer games then go for it. If you dont want to then update just for firmware 12.1.0 will do just fine. :)
